Summit County, OH (October 17, 2020) – A pedestrian crash reported in the Green area sent one person to a local hospital with serious injuries. On October 16, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to the site of a crash with Summit Metro Crash Response Team on Turkeyfoot Lake Rd (Ohio State Route 619).
Reports from authorities show that a 28-year-old woman was traveling east on Ohio State Route 619 in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu when she was involved in a collision. As a result of losing control of her vehicle, the woman went off the road, at approximately 4:45 a.m., and struck several objects before coming to rest.
The woman exited her vehicle and stood next to it near the road when she was struck by a second vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old man. The woman was seriously injured in the crash.
She was rushed to Akron City Hospital for treatment of injuries. The male driver was uninjured in the crash. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
