Wayne County, OH (August 11, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Sunday morning claimed the lives of two teens in Wayne County. Just after midnight on August 9, the Wayne County Coroner’s Office, Orrville Fire Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, and State Troopers from the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the site of a collision on County Road 7.

Reports from authorities show that 18-year-old Anthony Shaw was driving south on County Road 7 when his vehicle collided with a second vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Skyler Sigler at the intersection with State Route 57. The impact of the crash caused Shaw’s vehicle to crash into a guardrail and overturn before becoming engulfed in flames.  Sigler’s vehicles crashed into a guardrail and came to rest in the roadway.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash and declared both victims deceased at the scene. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the families of Anthony Shaw and Skyler Sigler at this time.
