Mass Torts Made Perfect Seminar

The partners at Rumizen Weisman are in Las Vegas participating in a 3-day seminar on mass torts relating to various drug and medical device cases. A mass tort is a matter in which a number of similar actions relating to the same product or defect caused an injury to a mass number of people. In these types of situations, the Federal Court system will often consider a motion to consolidate the hundreds if not thousands of cases across the county into a central forum.

The lawyers at Rumizen Weisman have a long-standing history of not only handling mass torts, but participating as leaders in the prosecution of these actions on behalf of lawyers all over the country. Currently, Rumizen Weisman is handling mass tort cases involving metal on metal hips (Depuy and Stryker), which have higher than usual failure rates; and investigating claims against GlaxoSmithKline for users of Zofran (an anti-nausea drug), which is suspected of causing birth defects.
